Daisy's Story

A fisherman called in about a dog alone in the woods near a quiet pond. That dog was Daisy.
Our staff went out immediately and waited for hours, speaking softly and moving slowly until she finally stepped into our van - into safety, and the start of a second chance.
Many animals arrive at our door under difficult circumstances, and more and more pets are being surrendered because families face housing changes, financial strain, or unexpected challenges. Daisy was one of them.
At first, she was nervous and unsure, quietly observing the world around her. Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and Daisy waited at our shelter for 656 days before she was adopted after nearly two years.
Because of support from people like you, Daisy finally found her forever home - proof that with care, patience, and community support, second chances are always possible.

Animals like Daisy arrive at our doors every day. Some stay for just a few weeks. Others, like Daisy, stay much longer. We never turn them away but caring for them takes resources.
This year, your support helped us:
Take in 80 animals
Offered 70 spay/neuter vouchers to our community
Reunited 21 families with their lost pets
Placed 47 animals in loving homes
Building for the future
Construction is underway to expand and modernize our shelter, giving every animal a safe, comfortable space to heal and thrive.
The reality is urgent.
Without your support, we cannot continue to provide this care. Every gift helps ensure that animals arriving at our doors are not left alone or without hope.
